What is The Bud-Hull Network?

Do you, or does someone you know, fit the following description?

• Are you a Christian living and/or working in or around Hull?
• Do you have a seed of an idea that’s in need of an incubator?
• Do you have a burning desire to see something grow, but at present it lies buried?
• Have you had a dream that needs that nurturing and the right conditions to grow?

And what if someone put some money where your dreams are; gave you the opportunity to act on what you think, to do what you talk about – so that you can tell your grandchildren the story of what was achieved?

Would that help?

Bud-Hull is able to provide funds to get your vision off the ground, and we can give it away to a person or small group that ‘has a vision’ but is frustrated by not being able to see it grow and longs for some barrier(s) to be removed. Not all barriers are financial of course, but money often helps.

The idea is to enable you to get going, to grow your thing quickly because its good, and its time is now, and you’ve got tons of pent up desire to make it happen. We recognise that there are risks and if it doesn’t work, if it doesn’t happen for whatever reason … so be it.

All we ask you to do is tell us the story so that we can learn from it and use it to encourage others and so build up the body of Christ in Hull.

Aside from that, there are no strings.

There are a few basic principles to start with …

• This seed you want to grow is a Christian thing, a Jesus thing.
• It’s not a thing your church (if you have one) is, or will be, doing. Or, at least, not anytime soon.
• It’s about Hull and the surrounding area somehow.
• It is not an event; not a ‘one-off’ thing.
• There are barriers to be removed so you can get on with it and money would help.

You may need time and so need to pay yourself a bit, there may be stuff to buy, child care to pay for, travel to places … something that enables you to get on with growing the seed.
